“ You can never go wrong with lunch or dinner at The Eagle. There's typically always a wait, this day it was a 20 minute wait, so we decided to sit at the bar. The service was average, not bad but average. One thing I always thought was cool is that they have shared seating (you can end up sitting with complete strangers) you're either going to love this or hate it, depending on your personality type. We ordered the 1/4 dark chicken, French fries, sweet potatoes, mac & cheese, shrimp & grits, and collard greens. I also had the champagne punch for a cocktail. Everything was good, my only suggestion is bringing the food out while it's hot. Their food is always sort of warm to me. ”
“ Everything was great! We had the chicken sandwich and the chicken BLT and they were awesome. The sides are great and are perfect for sharing. Will definitely be back! ”
“ I don't know how I haven't written a review on The Eagle before! This is one of my favorite places in Indy and I always bring visitors here because it never disappoints! Parking is paid street parking. I always get the chicken sandwich and it is one of my favorites!! They also have incredible sides! Highly recommend. ”
“ I can't believe I haven't written a review here yet! This is my go-to spot on mass ave. The Mac and cheese is to die for. I bring my friends from out of town just to eat the Mac and cheese--it's that good. PERFECTLY al dente, with creamy cheese mmmm. The chicken of course is delicious, but come for the salads too! The kale salad is my favorite. AND you cannot miss the homemade biscuits. I am drooling just thinking about it. If you're here with a large group, just get the group set dinner. It's so worth it. Depending on when you go you could have a wait. Service is usually pretty good and bar has open seating. ”
“ Eagle Mass Ave was absolutely delicious. It came highly recommended per Yelp reviews and fried chicken seemed like it would meet everyone's needs. The inside had a great vibe and the decor was fun. Everything was well thought out and clean. While it was way too cold to sit outside, it looked like they had a nice outside patio with string lights available. They had a kid menu and some coloring sheets with crayons which kept my daughter entertained. I always appreciate that. We sat at a high top, but they had a high chair perfect for the table size. We started off with some drinks. I ordered the blackberry lemonade. It was tart and refreshing. My husband ordered a glass of bourbon. I do not know the kind, but from what he said there were some good options. For an appetizer, we ordered the burnt ends. It was spectacular. This may have been one of the best things I ate all trip. The meat was super tender and the sauce was flavorful. Everything was bold without being spicy and my husband and I absolutely loved it. For our entree, we both got the chicken BLT. This sandwich was huge. The menu is a la carte so we had to get fries separately. Between the size of the sandwich and the size of an order of fries, my husband and I were fine splitting 1 side order. My daughter got the mac and cheese. To be fair, she was not a fan of the mac and cheese because it was not Kraft (she does not have a refined pallet). I, on the other hand, thought it was delicious. It was thick, creamy, and so cheesy. We were full, so didn't opt to get any dessert, but I'm sure that would have been delicious as well. Our server was fantastic and answered questions we had regarding the menu as well as interacting positively with my toddler (who loves chatting up the servers when we go out to eat). Overall, even being a la carte, the prices weren't really that bad for today's climate. For 2 entrees, 2 cocktails, an appetizer, and a kid's meal, our total came out to less than $60. I highly recommend this restaurant. It is definitely a must try when you are in Indy. ”
“ The Eagle is good and consistent. My favorite dishes are the chicken and waffles! And their shrimp and grits! Not gonna lie, their shrimp and grits are some of the best I've had. Not sure where they get their shrimp, but it's flavorful the way season it and super fresh! And I can't forget the biscuits. Just get 'em and thank me later. **Warning** I will not be held responsible for the impact to your waistline! Taste cautiously! You've been warned. The atmosphere gives bar vibes in the fact that it's kinda loud. But there's outdoor seating (when weather permits) that might help a bit. One critique I have. For some reason, the entry way always has a foul smell to me. Thankfully it doesn't resonate throughout the restaurant, but just noticed it the last time that all 3 times, I've been, there's been a foul smell by the entrance. I sure wished they fixed that. But all in all, good choice. You have plenty of food and drink options and you should check them out. Let me know what you think. ”
“ French pantry was well worth the wait that was lined up outside the door. Everything was so fresh and delicious! The dining room was intimate and cozy. The chicken panini had bite sized chicken chunks and was toasted to perfection. We also had a slice of wedding cake which we are now having at our wedding because it's that good. It's light and not overly sweet. Make sure to take home the French pesto rolls - the cream cheese surprise in the middle is my fave. Make sure to toast it!!! Everything was 10/10, as always. ”
“ I have been coming here since I was little love it gift shop was fire fwa fwa fwe hud hud I love it good person we love Sheol ”
“ Some of the best fried chicken in Indianapolis on Mass Ave! Come with a group and split a whole fried chicken with multiple sides. Glad we had a big hightop table in the back, with plenty of room for people & food. For 5 people, definitely recommend the hush puppies, sweet potato, and baked biscuits. We shared 2 whole fried chickens. The chicken dip was a bit too spicy for some but generous chicken portion. Free refills on blackberry lemonade and sweet tea. Super attentive service & didn't feel rushed. Good on drink refills as well! ”
“ The Eagle has the right vibes and the right food to hit EVERY time. Their chicken is literally to die for. I have a chicken sandwich or Mac and cheese with chicken on top every time I go. Their drinks are reasonably priced and they have rotating taps. I also love their patio and the fact that it feels like you are completely "in" the city, not watching the city. ”
